The PitaMaha Resort sets into the side of the Tjampuhan
valley in Bali's cultural heartland of Ubud. A landscaped jewel

20 minutes walk to the center of Ubud.

Balinese staff will greet you with a traditional welcome drink,
the Brem Barong, in our splended and spacious Lobby Lounge.
It has a sensational view across the valley to the distant and
verdant rice-field.
Rich in history, the Tjampuhan valley became the focal point
of Bali's artistic community when in 1934, the Prince of Ubud,
Tjokorda Gde Agung Sukawati, joined with celebrated Western artists
Walter Spies and Rudolf Bonnet to create an artists' association
they named Pita Maha.
"Pita Maha" in English translates to "Great Shining".
In 1994, to commemorate the birth of this artistic force and to
keep alive the original philosophy.
The Pita Maha Resort was created and opened its doors on 01
December 1995.
All individually controlled air-conditioned villas in the Pita
Maha Resort & Spa feature private balconies, tub and shower
bathroom, private bar and satellite television.
The Pool Garden Villas and Pool Duplex Villas both also feature
a private pool and
enclosed garden.
